The Blood Bank of Maryland has a group plan with the GFCA.  This group plan ensures family coverage throughout the United States.  Your $5 membership fee ($2 senior citizen rate) and periodic blood contributions are a small price to pay for this valuable protection.  To sign up, check the box on the Membership form when you send in your yearly dues or contact our neighborhood Secretary for more information.

Each year we try to have a yard sale.  All participants conduct their own sale on their own property on the date chosen, and the GFCA publishes the event in the local papers.   Watch for our announcement for this years date.

On the Sunday after Labor Day, 9-12-2010, Glen Farms/Tara residents are invited to gather at the Brinton Park tennis courts for an ice cream social.  What a great way to mark the transition of the seasons and to meet our neighbors – either refreshing or establishing new acquaintance.   Plan now to attend.

Every year a Fishing Derby is held.  Prizes are awarded for the shortest, longest and most caught in the following age groups 3-6, 7-10 and 11 & over.

Bring your Rod… Your Bait… and Your Lucky Hat.    Fun and prizes for all.   We are going to hold it this year on October 9^th instead of the traditional father’s day weekend.   More details to follow.
